w210: WEEK 1

"IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE YOU'RE GOING, YOU'RE LIKELY TO END UP SOMEWHERE ELSE."

~Unknown

What should I know about technology integration?

Map out our learning path.

Without knowing where we're going, how will we know when we get there? With this being said, I think it's important for us to manage our own learning process. The best teachers are life-long learners which emans they'll continue to learn and seek out learning opportunities throughout their entire career. This helps them develop into better teachers, and in turn, provide better learning experiences for their students. It's not only important to practice this, but also to model it. Therefore, we will be establishing a KWL chart (What you KNOW, What you WANT to know, and What you've LEARNED). This will be kept on our wiki and you will be expected to fill it out as the semester continues. This will outline our syllabus and help me to better meet your needs and interests.

Steps and Description

Links

1. Share Tech-O Results . We will go over your results for Tech-O, sharing all of your examples. Place your Tech-O documents in the Resources folder in OnCourse titled TECH-O.
2. Construction of KWL Chart . We will work together to make a KWL Chart. This will help guide us through our semester and identify the areas you would still like to learn about or have questions about. You will be expected to periodically view and edit this document in our w210 wiki. w210 Wiki
3. Overview of Video Camera. I will be giving you a brief presentation over how to use the video camera. You will be expected to use this video camera in your labs next week.
